Balkind Lev Vladmirovich

Studied at the N. S. Samokish Art College in Simferopol (graduated in 1961), at the State Art Institute in Kiev (graduated in 1967). Lives in Simferopol. Member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR (from 1970 on), member of the National Artists’ Union of Ukraine. Taught at the N. S. Samokish Art Institute in Simferopol, the Crimea branch of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Assistant Professor). Has taken part in provincial, republic-wide, Union-wide and international art exhibitions. Distinguished Artist of the Ukraine.

In 2012 a personal exhibition took place in Simferopol in honour of his 75th birthday.
