Jacob Tarasovich Besperstov was born in November 5, 1929 in the village of Bogdanovka of the Utevsky district of Samara region. After the war, he graduated from art school, then three courses of Art College in Dushanbe. In 1950, he entered the department of monumental painting of the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art. Studied with G. Savinov, I. Stepashkin, K. Johansen, A. Sokolov. In 1957, he graduated from the Leningrad Art & Industrial Academy, presenting as a graduated project "Festival of Youth" painting sketch for the concert hall of the House of Culture for food industry in Leningrad. After graduation, he worked in the field of monumental and decorative painting, participated in the execution of the painting of the Palace of Culture in Tom-Usinsk, the Palace of metallurgists in Cherepovets, the House of Culture in Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan. Main Besperstov’s works are: "Ilmen Lake" (1960), "Spring in Tajikistan" (1962), "Zanevsky Bridge" (1965), "Algeria", "Valldemossa. Spain"(both in 1968),"Spain. Sunny Day","Spain. Mallorca","Spring in Martyshkin"," Petrovsky Island","The Bride" (all in 1969),"Leningrad. Karpovki Quay"(1970),"Leningrad. New Holland", "Portrait of a Young Lady" (both in 1971),"Khakassky Vera Arashtaeva", "Luba", "Portrait of the actress M. Pakhomenko" (all in 1972), "Zoe Khomushku from Tuva", "Voices of Spring" (both in 1973), "Fisherwomen from Kazantip" (1975), "Mountains in South Ossetia", "Revolutionary Petrograd", "Near the old fortress. Theodosius" (all in 1977), “Cooperative dock on Kazantip Island", "Yalta in winter" (both in 1978), “Venice" (1979), “Kerch fishermen" (1980), “Girl with Flowers" (1986), “Boulevard Montmartre" (1992), “Altai”, “Flowers Market in Paris" (both in 1995), and others.
