Studied at the Leningrad Higher Arts and Crafts College (1945-1953) with A. A. Kazantsev, G.V. Pavlovskiy. Lived in Ashkhabad (1941-1969), from 1969 on in Sevastopol. Member of the Artists’ Union of the Ukrainian SSR (from 1954 on), of the Artists’ Union of the Ukraine (1992- 1998, from 1998 on – National Artists’ Union of the Ukraine). In 1995-1996 he worked on the creation of a mosaic panel “Wives – peace bringers” for the east portal of the Memorial Cathedral of St. Nicolas in Sevastopol, which was hit in the Second World War; he painted icons for the cathedral. Took part in the decoration of the Chapel of St. George the Dragon-Slayer on the Sapun Mountain in Sevastopol – created the main icon showing St. George the Dragon-Slayer. Taught at the Turkmenian Art College (1953-1956). Took part in municipal, provincial, republic-wide, Union-wide and international art exhibitions. Distinguished Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1982).
