Son of the famous Leningrad artist R. R. Frents. Studied at the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1955- 1961) with E. E. Moiseenko. Lived in Leningrad. Member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR (from 1963 on).Took part in exhibitions from 1959 on.
