He studied at the physico-mathematical faculty of Moscow University (1896-1900); at the same time attended courses at the Stroganov school (1897-98), in the K.F. Yuon Studio in Moscow (1914).

Lived in Vladikavkaz (1902-16), Krasnodar (1916-29), Alma-Ata (1929-33) and Tashkent (from 1933).

Participated in exhibitions since 1910.

Was a member of the Association of Artists of the Revolution (the 1920s). Painted mainly landscapes.

His works include: "Teberdinskiy lake" (1904)' "Above abyss" ("Great abyss", 1905; alternatives — 1910' 1915, 1925), "Blooming Rhododendron" (1910, Krasnodar Art Museum), "Darial Gorge" (1914), "Kazbek and Gergeti Glacier" (1924), "Kishlak in the Mountains" (1935)' "Yard in Winter" (1936), "The Last owner " (1938), "Spring" (1937), "Development of the Desert" (1939), "On the Construction of the Great Fergana Canal" (1940), "Northern Tashkent Canal" (1942), "Electro ploughing in Hungry Steppe" (1949) — last ten held in the Museum of Uzbekistan Art. Exhibition of works by Grigoryants was held in 1924 (Sukhumi), 1924 and 1930 (Krasnodar), 1951 (Tashkent). His works also exists, above mentioned, in the Museum of Uzbekistan Nature, Museum of Uzbekistan Nations’ History (Tashkent), Republicans Museum of History, Culture and Art of Uzbekistan (Samarkand).
