Tseitlin Grigory Izrailevich

He graduated from the Odessa Art Institute in 1932 (studied with A. Shovkunenko, D. Kranev, A. Gausch, T. Fraerman). A participant of art exhibitions since 1939.
Tseitlin is best known as a portraitist. In his canvases, there are no external effects, sharp contrast combinations. They are constructed on close tones, which makes his painting become melodious, tender, musical. A special place in the work was devoted to diverse, interesting still life. In his paintings, the objects acquire a special spirituality due to delicate color relationships.

Tsetlin's paintings are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the art museums of Kemerovo, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Odessa, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad: Germany, France, England, Japan, USA.
