Skobeev Valeriy Nikolaevich

Studied at the Kazan Art College (1960-1964), at the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (1964-1970) with E. E. Moiseenko. Lives in Kazan. Member of the Artists’ Union of the USSR (1974). Distinguished Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan (1980), Folk Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan (1986), Distinguished Artist of the Russian Federation (2008). Was awarded the M. Dzhalil Prize of the Provincial Committee of the Komsomol of the Tatar ASSP (1976).
