Stadnik Aleksandr Mikhaylovich
Studied at the S. M. Prokhorov Art Institute in Kharkov during the second half of the 1930s. Went to the front as a volunteer in 1941. From 1946 on he worked at the M. B. Grekov Studio of Military Artists. He was awarded the Stalin prize twice: In 1948 for the creation of the diorama “Assault Crossing of the River Dnepr by the Soviet Army in 1943” and in 1952 for the picture “Session of the State Committee for the Defence of the Country”.
