Landarsky Robert Efimovich

Born on April, 1 1936 in Gomel. Graduated from I. Repin's Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1966).

Painted many works on rural theme. Landscape genre was organically joined to the rural themes in the artist's works, he created hundreds of works about nature. The master was especially enticed by the picturesque corners of Belarus (canvas "Indian Summer", "Spring in Polesie", "Evening Melody", and others.)

The artist dedicated alot of works to the heroism of the people in the war: "June 1941", "Balad about his mother".

In the 1980s, Robert E.painted triptych "My pain, Belarus" about the events at the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant.

His works were exhibited in Gomel, Moscow, Bryansk, Chernigov, many countries. The pictures were acquired by the museums of many cities.

R.E. Landarsky was three times elected as a Board Chairman of the Gomel Regional Organization (1981-1988, 1992-1995), as a member of the Presidium of the Belarusian Union of Artists.
