Malyutin Sergey Vasilyevich

Eminent Russian-Soviet painter, architect, Distinguished Artist of the RSFSR. From 1883-1886 he studied at the Moscow College of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (MUZhVZ), in the workshops of I. M. Pryanishnikov and V. E. Makovskiy. In the 1890’s – painter at the Russian Private Opera of S. I. Mamontov. From 1900-1913 he was a member of the Fine-Arts Association “World of Arts”, in 1913 - of the “Artists’ Fellowship ‘Itinerants’ ”. In 1914 he became a Member of the Academy of Fine Arts. From 1918-1921 he took part in the creation of the “Windows of Satire ROSTA”, from 1918-1923 he taught at the VHUTEMAS. In 1922 he was an active organizer of the “Artists’ Union of Revolutionary Russia”.
