Zaycev Evgeniy Mitrofanovich

Was a student at the Arts and Graphics College (1949-1954), graduated from the State Arts Institute in Kharkov (in 1963), studio of professor S. F. Besedin. Was a teacher at the Kursk State Pedagogical University, where he held the chair of painting at the department of arts and graphics (1963-1972). He decorated the interior of public organisations and institutions in Kursk (the panel painting “Peace” in the Wedding Palace, the panel picture “Spring” in a department store and others). He was elected as a member of the executive board of the Kursk branch of the Russian Painters’ Union (1970-1973). Distinguished Painter of the Russian Federation (2002). Winner of the Deneyka Governor’s Prize of the district of Kursk (2006).
